SALVATION SERIES
STEP 1: Conviction of
Sin
Conviction is an official decision that
you are guilty of a particular crime; it is also a strong opinion or belief;
and it’s a feeling of certainty about something. When you were a little child and you did
something you knew was wrong, didn’t you “feel” something inside you letting
you know? That ‘something’ was and still
is called conviction.
All
humanity has inborn conviction because our Creator God, breathed life, His
life, into each and everyone of us. So,
with all the various ways in which we worship Him, is it a coincidence that we all “feel”
that same ‘something’ when we do wrong?
No, it’s not. We are all apart of
God, whether we acknowledge it or not; whether we like it or not.
For
whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son .
. . (Romans 8:29a). Our Creator had a perfect plan for your life the moment you were conceived.
But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe His name (John 1:12). Our Father gave you free will to choose to believe in and receive Him . . . or not.

Most
think that it’s a punishment to confess the wrong we’ve done and that God will
hate us. But GOD can never hate what He’s
created. What God hates is evil, all sin. Was not Lucifer one of the most magnificent
of all of God’s creations? An angel of
melody and praise. Yet, when the sin of
pride corrupted this angel of light, darkness took over and He had to be
expelled from the heavenly kingdom becoming Satan—archangel of darkness.
GOD
LOVES YOU and wants you to come to Him right now.
God
could have destroyed Lucifer in an instant, don’t you think? So why didn’t He? Like a loving Father, He could not extinguish His
creation. So earth became the home of
this roaring demon whose plan is to destroy anything created by God, including and
especially you and me—all humanity. What
is the motive behind the weapons of Satan’s warfare? SIN.
SIN is anything or anyone or any action, thought or word that
goes against the beautiful everything that God planned for you when you were
born.
The
cross was too heavy to carry, but Jesus did it anyway with the conviction that
as He carried that cross, He was also carrying our sins to be nailed once and
for all.
THE
FIRST STEP TO SALVATION is to LISTEN TO THAT CONVICTION and not to be afraid to
admit that
“I AM A SINNER.”
